Theme: The Heart of Christmas in Downtown Greenfield

Mission: To provide a safe, enjoyable, quality parade on the streets of Downtown Greenfield.

Parade will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011 Entry deadline is November 30, 2011.

All entries must be decorated with lights! Parade route will begin near Depot Street and end at American Legion Place south of the Courthouse Plaza. Line up will be at 6:00 p.m. Please park in the Parking Lot at the corner of Pennsylvania and South Streets.

Note: All entries will be inspected the day of the parade! Lights are required to be a participant. The parade committee recommends a minimum of 500 lights per float or 5 strands of 100 lights each.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ENTRY AND FOLLOWING THESE RULES.
Deadline for parade entry is November 30, 2011 to Greenfield Main Street, located in the Chamber of Commerce building at One Court House Plaza, Greenfield, IN 46140.

All entries will begin to get into position at 6:00 p.m. All entrants will receive our Commemorative Certificate as a Thank You for participating in the 2011 Christmas Festival.
Please provide a description of the parade entry. We will use this information in our media package.*
SANTA WILL BE THE LAST ENTRY IN THE PARADE TO GREET CHILDREN AT THE COURTHOUSE PLAZA. THERE IS ONLY TO BE ONE SANTA IN THE PARADE.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. All entries must be in place by 6:00 p.m. or may not be allowed to participate.
2. All entries must be decorated with a minimum of 500 lights.
3. The Parade Inspection Committee will be checking each entry at the staging area for compliance to the rules. If any entry is in poor taste or not in compliance, the Committee will have the authority to disqualify that entry before the parade.
4. There must be at least one adult on floats on which children are riding. *Special exceptions will be considered.*
5. Throwing of candy or objects from parade entrants is not allowed.
6. No one may get off a float or entry once the parade has begun.
7. No smoking or alcoholic beverages on any parade entry at any time before or during the parade.
8. No Santa costumes, there will be a Santa at the end of the parade.
SAFETY COMES FIRST!!! The parade will commence rain, snow, or shine, but if at any time leading up to or on parade day the weather and/or street conditions are deemed unsafe, the parade will be canceled. We will communicate any cancellation via email or phone.

I understand that the Parade Committee cannot be held responsible for theft, damage or injury, and I have read, accepted, and will follow the rules and regulations governing this event.
