Spring is finally almost here, and with it comes longer days, fresh blooms, and a renewed sense of energy throughout Hancock County. After months of chilly mornings and cozy indoor routines, it’s time to step outside and embrace everything this vibrant season has to offer with our Greenfield Spring Bucket List!

  • Kick-off March by celebrating something uniquely Hancock County – Wet Tenderloin Week!
  • Clean out a closet or two and donate to Hope House Thrift Store. Maybe browse a little too for a unique find! They are open Tuesday – Saturday. Check online for specific hours.
  • Enjoy a Spring Fashion Show at Penny’s Florist on March 11th, presented by Ella Junes. Tickets are $20. Grab them early.
  • It’s going to be the best year yet for Shamrock the Block. Don’t miss the fun.
  • The James Whitcomb Riley Boyhood Home opens for the season on March 17th and they have several upcoming events.
  • Don’t miss Greenfield Parks Spring Break Arts Camp and Daddy Daughter Dance in March. Make sure to register before both sell out.
  • Egg Hunts! Did you know Bradley United Methodist Church throws a free community one every year in Riley Park? Look for it on April 4th. Tuttle Orchards and Piney Acres Farm also have Easter Egg Hunt events in April.
  • Hancock County Arts has their National Youth Art Month Exhibit: March 5th – 28th. They will be showcasing a select and diverse range of artwork and media from Hancock County schools, grades K-12.
  • Join Bentley’s Buddies for Whiskers for Reading Silent Auction, fun and games in April.
  • And stop by the Hancock Wellness Centers for your Passport to Fitness, Philanthropy and Fun. Alternatives Donut Dash 5K in April is one of the passport 5k events.
  • Be sure to check out our last Showtime on Main event on March 28th at H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts – it’s a free 90-minute comedy show featuring Stratton Smith and friends!
  • In May, be sure to check out Bikes in Bloom all around downtown Greenfield.
  • Mark your calendar for KidsPlay, Inc.’s The Fearsome Pirate Frank in April.
  • Plus, don’t miss National Mustang Day at Capitol City Ford Greenfield in April. They’ll be celebrating with a Mustang car show, decals, coffee and donuts.
  • In May, enjoy The Woomblies Rock Orchestra at H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts.
